Humberto Alejandro Castro Ward was born on December 15, 1984 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. He moved to El Paso, Texas at the age of 13 after his parents separated. When he was 15 years old he received his first video camera as a Christmas present. Soon after, he began writing short scripts and making short films with his family and friends. He graduated from Father Yermo High School in 2003 and went on to attend The University of Texas at El Paso where he obtained his B.A. in Psychology and Minor in Criminal Justice in 2010. Humberto eventually enrolled into acting courses and decided that he wanted to pursue a career as an actor, screenwriter and filmmaker instead. He began by making a couple of short films entitled Reflection (2010) and The Beginning (2012) with the help of his longtime girlfriend (now wife), family and friends. Leading and supporting roles in several other short independent films, music videos, TV series and web series immediately followed. He then starred alongside Diajesma Orozco in his first feature film that was inspired by his own personal experiences called El Sueño (2016); which he co-wrote, co-produced and co-directed with his friend and co-star in the film Bryan G. Thompson. Since the premiere of El Sueño (2016), Humberto has been landing leading and supporting roles in a number of other independent films, helping him become a better all-around actor in the process. He and his wife also released the short psychological thriller I Am Psycho (2018); completing the trilogy of their first two short films. He is now working on a new documentary style feature film about an unsolved missing persons case from 2003 called The Confession Project (2020); which he is writing, producing, directing and starring alongside his wife Lorraine Sanchez and his younger brother Jon Erik Castro. Humberto continues to live in El Paso, Texas and has been married to Lorraine Sanchez since August 23, 2014. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Award Pictures
