Joshua Royalty Allen, professionally known as Joshua Royalty, is an African American actor. He is known for portraying David James Craven in the Zombie Outbreak horror film and Businessman in Watchmen. Royalty was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to an African American father, from Philadelphia, and an African American and Native American Mother, from Lakewood. He and his mother moved to Georgia when he was ten years old because his mother married again. He began to take on the nickname Royalty as his fan base began to grow and random fans would pass by and shout out to him "there's mister Hollywood!" and "He's Royalty!", as well as "Good Morning! Good to see you, your Highness!" Royalty attended Interdevelopment Home School, a home schooling program run by his mother for the duration of his middle school and high school years. He ended up graduating home school with a GED from Athens Technical College and while becoming well-known for singing and performing on stage, he simultaneously pursued a career in technology. Royalty attended DeVry University and graduated with honors, obtaining his Associate's degree in Network Systems Administration, making Dean's List every semester. Royalty went on to study drama and acting lessons with Ellen Marano's Scene Study program at Scenebot and earned Honorable Mention for his outstanding performance review. Royalty made his acting debut in 2006, when he landed the role of David James Craven in the horror film Zombie Outbreak. Shortly thereafter, he appeared in the film Forgotten as a funeral mourner and in 2013, in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and 2014, Mockingjay as District 12 Resident. In 2018, he went on to play the role of the Bartender in the horror film, St. Agatha, and as a Businessman in HBO's DC Comic television series pilot Watchmen.
