Born and raised by his single mother, Susan Beardsley, in Flint Michigan, USA. When Matt was younger he would always build things in his mothers basement that would eventually get him in trouble. From movies sets like 1974 film Earthquake to almost lighting his house on fire. Matt Graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 2007 where he then left Flint Michigan to attend Eastern Michigan University. At EMU, Matt joined Phi Sigma Phi where he stayed in the fraternal organization for four years where he finished his studies in Electronic Media and Film Studies: Concentration in Film Theory. He also received a minor in German Language and Business. Matt had been playing the saxophone for school which is still a huge part of his down time today. Prior to graduating from EMU, Matt met with Paula Fournier, a Producer in the Detroit area. He became her Producers' Assistant for his first feature, "Sand Castles" 2010. From there Matt worked in the film industry for 5 years, from TV shows, to commercials and music videos, to Youtube skits and live events, which lead him to his first feature as a production designer. From there Matt worked on "Elder Island" 2014 on location in Beaver Island, MI. Matt finally moved from Ypsilanti, MI to Los Angeles in 2015 where he is as of 2019. Still designing for features and gathering other experiences's in all mediums of Production Design in the entertainment industry; Matt has entered the world of producing; which he feels..."has become an inspiring way to control an entire reality of the medium I'm Designing and Producing together."
