Virginia Newcomb is an American actress, producer, and independent filmmaker with notable roles in; Peacock (2010) with Cillian Murphy, Reparation (2015) with Marc Menchaca, and The Office opposite B.J. Novack. Virginia's work has recently returned her to the South for starring roles in the upcoming A24 film premiering at Sundance '19, The Death of Dick Long (2019) by Daniel Scheinert (Swiss Army Man), Whitney Hamilton's epic indie drama, Union, as well as, producing on the upcoming Lynn Shelton comedy feature, Sword of Trust (2019). Born in Memphis, TN and raised in Alabaster, AL by Jackie & Allen Newcomb, Virginia's early years were spent hunting small towns for artistic expression. A scholarship to The Lee Strasberg Theatre began her Los Angeles days. She has performed in numerous award winning plays on the west coast while 2014 held Newcomb's Broadway debut in Jay Scheib's live cinema production of Chekhov's Platonov, or The Disinherited, which live streamed to Time Square and BAM. This innovative style of theatre continues to inspire Virginia's work, most recently as creator of the Cuclaorus Film Festival's annual commissioned Blue Velvet installation, Bus To Lumberton.
