Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Danielle René Withers began her theater arts journey at a very young age. After having spent most of her life in many theater and music programs, Danielle studied music education at Howard University, with a concentration in vocal performance. During her tenure at Howard Univerity, Danielle was cast as a lead in several Howard University theater arts productions. In 2011, Danielle was cast as a contestant (and lead vocalist) on the hit NBC singing reality show, "The Sing Off" with the group, "Afro-Blue." They were participants in 10 episodes of the season. (they made it to the top 4.) After relocating to Los Angeles, CA in 2011, Danielle (working in LA as a professional studio/touring musician), was cast in the pilot episode of "The God Damn Comedy Jam" on Comedy Central (2016) as the house band background singer. After the success of the pilot, it was developed into a full length series called "The Comedy Jam" in 2017 .
