Karrie was born in McAllen, Texas to South Texas ranchers. At the age of two, she learned how to ride horses and started competing in rodeos at age three. She continued to competitively rodeo for over 10 years. Karrie was recruited to play collegiate volleyball. She was pre-med and graduated with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Karrie has appeared in a variety of independent films including Out of the Darkness, Boneboys, Depression Revolution and Red on Yella, Kill a Fella. In 2008 she founded, Through Films, an independent film production company with her partner Marcus Cox. Through Films was formed as a vehicle for Karrie's acting and writing. The company strives to produce meaningful motion pictures that captivate, influence and entertain. In 2009, Karrie wrote, directed and produced her first film Los Encinos. Recently, she produced Ross Katz's dramedy, Adult Beginners, starring Rose Byrne, Nick Kroll and Bobby Cannavale that premiered at Toronto International Film Festival. She also produced Sean Baker's Sundance breakout film Tangerine and is working with Justin Tipping on his feature Kicks.
